It was 2.5 years ago that Jeff and I traveled to Tanzania, Africa to go on an animal safari and a day climb on Mt. Kilimanjaro. We really did not know much about what was in store for this adventure. With our new camera in hand and a love of animals, we took the trip in February of 2024 during the migration period and breeding season for the wildebeest and zebras. What started out as an animal driven trip changed to a love of the culture and people of Tanzania. Along the way, we met Emmanuel in Moshi, Salaton at a tent camp in the Serengeti, and Isabella, the headmistress of Upendo Friends School in Arusha. Now, 2.5 years later and a trip this past February of 2026 and another one coming up in 2027, we have been won over by the genuine hearts of many people there. This was no accident, this was divine intervention. God nudged our hearts in a big way to help support many individuals and endeavors to make a difference one person, one project, and one opportunity at a time.
Check out the stories, and meet my dear friends from Tanzania!
Debbie
